Anita is a British-born award-winning, speaker and author, celebrated for her long-term dedication to diversity, education and social care.A passionate advocate for female equality, Anita is currently Vice President of Barnado’s and a patron for period charity, Binti International. In 2021, she was awarded an MBE for services to diversity and female empowerment, including her life-changing work tackling female genital mutilation, menstrual discrimination, and human trafficking.Anita is the author of charity book Voices From Punjab, Chair of the Hermraj Goyal Foundation, an Ambassador of the Alzheimer’s Society, and trustee of the Hallmark Care Homes Foundation. A former teacher of 20 years, Anita is also founder of Enrichment Experiences in Education, introducing personal development and crucial life skills training in UK schools.

Avnish Goyal CBE

Chair of Hallmark Care Homes

He is the managing director of an award-winning care provider which employs over 1200 team members. The company, Hallmark Care Homes, is family owned and I believe the ideologies behind my own family filter through to all of our care facilities. My family and I have never forgotten our humble roots and as a result, making a difference to the lives of others has been a huge priority over the years and continues to be a main focus of mine. I am the trustee of various charitable foundations including The Care Worker’s Charity and The Hemraj Goyal Foundation, while the teams at Hallmark Care Homes are empowered to uptake on a raft of charitable initiatives – raising thousands of pounds each year. Empowering others is my huge passion. Personal development should never be underestimated – we all have room to improve and make a positive difference to the lives of others.

Ian Spiers

Director of Global Man

Ian Speirs is part of one of the world’s leading financial services firms and has held positions across Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset Management. He has extensive experience driving the change agenda across the organisation including working within industry consortia to start up new companies. Over the last 25 years, he has worked in a number of roles with an initial focus on OTC Derivatives across the Credit, Rates and Equities asset classes covering the front and middle office line functions, client relationship management and both incremental and large scale change programmes. Subsequently, he has focused on industry initiatives including covering responses to financial reform legislation and the build out of supporting market infrastructure. This involved working on industry conference platforms, sitting on boards of market infrastructure start-ups and representing the industry to regulators.
